The sun has gone down in the west:
It's the night after day
And the end of a test.
I'd never have guessed that it would end this way
But a change is as good as a rest, so they say.
Though through your eyes you gift to me
Answers which I did not seek,
There's still one question I must ask:
Why do you wear the mirror-mask?
The wall has come down in the east
ReplyDeleteIt's the day after night
And all hell's been released.
They're feeding the beast on Big Macs and fries
But choice is to feast on the heart of a lie
Though through your eyes you gift to me
ReplyDeleteAnswers which I did not seek,
There's still one question I must ask:
Why do you wear the mirror-mask?
There is no mask that I wear
ReplyDeleteMy face is as blank as nothing at all
The left's just a gown
That I wear to The Ball
The mask you see
ReplyDeleteBelongs to me,
It's there for my protection.
To save my mind
From thoughts unkind -
Returned by its reflection
the moon has gone full in the south:
ReplyDeleteit's not like an eye, it's more of a mouth;
there's still one thought I must emit:
remove your mask to take a hit.
